It is a quiet property located in St Gertrud district close to the grocery store, the center, and the centre of town. All the staff members are pleasant and welcoming! Their breakfast option with local sausages and cheeses, for example is great, put others we have been to shame! Can be described as a really great experience, would be happy to recommend.
Nothing for me!

An oldfashioned hotel, but very clean and friendly people. An excellent breakfast. We also took diner: it was good and not expensive. A great bathroom.
It was too far for us from the city centre to have a quick visit too it. (We only staid one night. We came from Sweden). It's a quite strange neighboorhood for a hotel.

Reasonably priced budget hotel, probably an old fabric. Quiet surroundings. Rather close to one supermarket, but not so much more close by. We had to pay a bit extra for a bigger room, which was a nice room with two floors. High ceiling and rather large rooms.
Never got the Internet connection to work. (Wireless not available for guests. Using TP-cable never managed to locate any DNS server. No staff avaiable for additional information about setup)

The staff was extremely helpful. I was late from 10 p.m. check-in about 1,5 hours and they waited for me to arrive. The room was cosy and not at all boring hotel-style. It was decorated with antik furniture. The shower room was newly renovated with good taste. The room was really quiet and peaceful. To top this of this was one of the cheapest hotels I found from Lubeck online on short notice. Really, really pleased of my stay.
The only thing you could really think as a minus is the location. Then again the surroundings were peacefull and if your with your own vehicle that's no problem at all. If by foot, I would reconsider at least if planning to stay more than one night.

The room was spacious and comfortable, perfect for our family with all the bags. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast provided was delicious and satisfying, setting us up for a great day exploring the city center.
No improvements needed, everything was perfect.

a quiet site, good food, pleasant personnel, good bathroom facilities
no airco, so on a warm day (like we had) it was difficult to sleep. The beds were very noisy: if one would turn during sleep, the other person was awoken immediately

We ordered two rooms, and got an upgrade for one of the rooms. The breakfast was excellent and the restaurant was very pleasant in general. Friendly staff.
One of our two rooms had been used as a smokers room, and the smell was still there. No wifi at the hotel. Not in walking distance from the old town. A taxi cost approx. 11 Euro.

Our room at Hotel Gutenberger was spacious with beautiful old furniture and a large, lovely bathroom. The breakfast buffet included a good variety of options. Despite a few drawbacks like the lack of air conditioning and parking space, for the price we paid, it was a lovely hotel. I would recommend staying here.
